We assist and manage anti-piracy actions and promote the most appropriate action according to the client’s needs, specifically, extrajudicial actions (certified telegrams, investigations, among others) and judicial actions (for example, border measures, criminal proceedings), solutions in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy.

We also assist our clients in registering their trademarks with the National Directorate of Customs, a process enabled in our country since 2008, in accordance with the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) ratified by Paraguay.

We are responsible for assuming representation and/or sponsorship in criminal trials, exercising all activities inherent to the defense of the client’s rights, whatever the nature of the criminal procedure or according to the proposal made in criminal proceedings already initiated.

Based on an analysis and diagnosis, we establish the concrete possibilities of the legal situation affecting the client, the alternatives to address the defense of their interests, the preparation of strategies for oral hearings and/or written procedures in any of the proceedings.

The Department monitors the activities of fiscal investigation and before the magistrates involved in all instances, proposing steps to allow corrections regarding the dynamics verified in the trial; advice, monitoring and proposal of technical consultants with respect to expert and/or technical evidence, and, in particular, those to be carried out abroad.
