Chambers award ceremonies bring together the best lawyers from all regions of the world to celebrate excellence in the legal profession.
The Women in Law awards represent the culmination of a year-long research and also celebrate those who promote gender equality and grant equal opportunities to women throughout Latin America.

This year, the ceremony took place at The Ritz-Carlton, in Santiago, Chile, on Thursday, May 10, 2018. The event was sponsored by BKM – Berkemeyer from Paraguay.
At the ceremony, those pioneers who have furthered the advancement of women within the legal sphere were recognized. The Awards seek to highlight these achievements, empower the people behind innovative initiatives of women and give greater visibility to gender diversity.

BKM Berkemeyer was the only Paraguayan firm nominated as a recognition to the initiative for «Promoting gender diversity within Law Firms», award received at the aforementioned event by the attorneys representing the Firm on said event; Yolanda Pereira and Barbara Dollstadt.

ADVOC, the network of worldwide leading law firms, held the Latin American Chapter annual meeting, for members from Latin America and the Caribbean, in the city of Asunción, Republic of Paraguay, on May 7 and 8, 2018, under coordination of the firm BKM Berkemeyer.

The meeting brought together representatives from Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Panama, Peru, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, for a General Meeting where the Board for the next period was elected, besides other mutual interest topics.

During the welcome dinner, the attendees enjoyed a performance offered by young members of the orchestra from the “Sound of the Earth” Leadership School.

BKM | Berkemeyer is pleased to announce the distinction received from ITR as Tax Firm of the Year – Paraguay.

The ITR annual awards are the benchmark of excellence in the international tax field and recognition of leading legal firms from different regions of the world.

This new recognition is in addition to the award received earlier this year from IFLR (also belonging to the Euromoney Group), Law Firm of the Year – Paraguay. Such distinctions once again confirm the Firm as one of the most prestigious in Paraguay.
