International Public Bids with financing by the IADB – CAF – FONPLATA

The MOPC is calling several public bids for public works financed by different Multilateral Organizations such as the IADB, CAF and FONPLATA.

Their particularity is that they are International Public Bids, extending the universe of participation of companies, which allows being more competitive at the time of establishing the requirements of participation for local and foreign companies under equal conditions, individually or in consortium.

Next, we indicate the relevant data of these Public Bids:

  • CALL MOPC Nº 62/2022 INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC BID FOR WORKS OF CONSTRUCTION OF PAVEMENT OF THE ASPHALT FOR THE SECTION MARACANA – LUZ BELLA.

The financing of the works shall be executed through the CAF and FONPLATA.

Estimated Amount: PYG 78,372,349,387 (USD: 11,181,600 approx.)

It is provided an advance payment of 15%.

The date of completion of the Works shall be in 540 days.

The deadline for consultations through the SICP is until Tuesday, October 04, 2022, being the date of presentation of bids Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 09:00 A.M.

  • CALL MOPC N°70/2022 INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC BID FOR CONTRACTING CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES FOR THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE BY LEVELS OF SERVICES OF THE ROUTE PY-15 SECTION MARISCAL ESTIGARRIBIA-POZO HONDO AND ACCESS TO MARISCAL ESTIGARRIBIA, DEPARTAMENT OF BOQUERÓN, REPUBLIC OF PARAGUAY.

The financing of the Works shall be executed through a loan made by FONPLATA.

The awarding system: Lump sum.

The Estimated Amount is PYG 2,207,794,890,871.- (USD 314,992,300 approx.) distributed in four lots for each section to be executed in the following way:

Amount Lot 1: PYG 613,981,931,262

Amount Lot 2: PYG 508,104,192,060

Amount Lot 3: PYG 508,043,468,947

Amount Lot 4: PYG 577,665,298,602

It is provided an advance payment of 20%.

The date anticipated for the completion of the contract for the stages that the same comprises are:

  1. Execution of the final design of engineering and cadaster: 6 months.
  2. Construction of works: 24 months.
  3. Maintenance by levels of services: 96 months.

The deadline for consultations through the SICP is until Friday, October 07, 2022, being the date of presentation of bids Friday, October 28, 2022 at 09:00 A.M.

  • CALL MOPC N°83/2022 INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC BID FOR CONTRACTING CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES FOR THE EXECUTION OF ROAD WORKS OF QUALIFICATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE NATIONAL ROUTE 12 (PY12). SECTION NANAWA – GRAL BRUGUEZ AND ACCESS WESTERN REGION. AD REFERENDUM TO THE ENACTMENT OF THE LAW OF THE LOAN CONTRACT N° 5108/OC-PR.

The financing of the works shall be executed through a loan by IADB.

The Awarding System is: Per Lot

The Estimated Amount is PYG 1,265,835,000,000 (USD 180,600,200 approx.) distributed in four lots for each section to the executed in the following way:

Amount Lot 1: PYG 294,070,000,000

Amount Lot 2: PYG 297,440,000,000

Amount Lot 3: PYG 324,635,000,000

Amount Lot 4: PYG 349,690,000,000

It is provided an advance payment of 15%.

The date anticipated for the completion of the contract for the stages that the same comprises are:

  • Works of Qualification of the 4 lots: 24 months.
  • Maintenance of the 4 lots: 48 months.
  • Deadline for the solution of failures in the maintenance works: 6 months.
  • Administrative closing: 6 months.

The Board of Clarifications shall carry out a meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 09:30 A.M. in the Assembly Hall of the MOPC.

The deadline for consultations is until Tuesday October 18, 2022, being the date of presentation of Bids Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 at 09:00 A.M.

Finally, it is worth to point out that the indicated dates are potentially subject to further modifications, in which case it shall be instrumented by Addenda that could modify the dates of the consultation period as well as the date of presentation of Bids.
