Watching service

The purpose of the Watch Service is to detect any potential conflicting trademark application and alert clients so that they can decide whether to take action against it or not. This is an essential service for the maintenance and enforcement of trademark rights.

Our Watch Service is also offered through a subscription basis, in which clients are able to establish the parameters of their interest for the service.

Our Trademark Watching Service is provided through our in-house Watch Department. Therefore, our Watch Letters receive the input and expertise of our attorneys and when required, clients can count on immediate legal advice, which can be particularly helpful when facing a close deadline.

Berkemeyer offers, as an additional service, a watch of company name applications for registrations so that clients can be alerted of company names applications similar to their trademark or company name. Therefore, the client can rest assured that both their trademark and company name are protected through a careful watch and that they will be alerted thus allowing the possibility to take actions.

The Watch Service can be based on local registrations as well as on foreign registrations, depending on the client's request.
