There are two aspects of ADR practice: (1) cases where the firm´s attorneys are requested to serve as neutrals in an ADR proceeding (usually arbitration or mediation), and (2) matters where clients have disputes that will be decided by some form of ADR, most often arbitration, and our firm is asked to represent one of the parties to that dispute.
Berkemeyer has experience serving as neutrals—providing services to other law firms and their clients as arbitrators, mediators, discovery referees, early neutral evaluators and private settlement judges.
We are experienced in representing clients in ADR forums, bringing the same trial skills that have succeeded in the courtroom to ADR proceedings. Our ADR team have been involved in the changing of the arbitation and mediation legislation and have served as arbitrators and mediators, both in local and international cases.
